African heads of state have signed a declaration to increase the use of vaccines against infectious diseases in a bid to close the immunisation gap by 2020. The declaration was signed during the 28th African Union Summit held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia last week.Measles,rubella and neonatal tetanus are the diseases most African countries are struggling with.In every 5 children, 1 hasn't been immunized. The agreement African heads of state have made is to make sure no child in Africa who've not gotten at least the basic immunization.
